A versatile singing actor whose work bridges standard repertoire and contemporary opera, with a particular commitment to works by Black composers and American storytellers. He has appeared in multiple productions of Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha, including Simon with Opera Orlando and Zodzetrick with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Most recently, he was a member of the ensemble in Houston Grand Opera’s Porgy and Bess. He has also been featured in several contemporary and socially resonant works, including Dante in Lucidity with Opera Ithaca and On Site Opera in collaboration with Seattle Opera, Scholar in I CAN’T BREATHE with Pacific Opera Project, and Pastor/Walter White in Marian’s Song with Houston Grand Opera.
